One of the two police officers accused of killing a six-year-old Marksville boy during a shooting was allowed to post bond today. Judge William Bennett allowed Norris Greenhouse Junior’s family to post the one-million dollar personal property bond for the 23-year-old. There were questions over whether the bond was legal, because of state law that prohibits attorneys from posting bond for their children. Greenouse’s father is a prosecutor.

Several writers who cover college football nationally are astonished that LSU is considering firing Coach Les Miles. Dennis Dodd of cbs-sports-dot-com says it will be very hard to replace Miles with a better coach….

Good news for those who love Blue Bell Ice cream. The creamery has announced that it will begin selling Blue Bell ice cream in Louisiana grocery stores on December 21st. Company spokesperson Joe Robertson says they are also putting over 100 furloughed employees back to work with this latest phase in of their product…

Listeria concerns led Blue Bell to pulling its product off the shelves. The ice cream has been coming back in phases over the last few months.

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, the state Fire Marshal’s Office, and local authorities are seeking information on 86 suspected arsons in northwest Louisiana. Ag Commissioner Mike Strain says the suspicious fires happened between August 30th and October 21st…
