A wave was made today in the governor’s race as Republican Jay Dardenne announces he’s endorsing Democrat John Bel Edwards over his fellow Republican David Vitter. In accepting the endorsement, Edwards says he’s grateful for Dardenne’s friendship and counsel…:

The runoff is November 21st. Early voting begins Saturday.

Cops are expected to release more information at this hour on the deadly officer involved shooting death of a 6-year-old boy in Marksville. The victim of the shooting was identified as Jeremy Mardis. Officials say Jeremy was struck five times during the shootout.
