The ad wars have erupted in Louisiana’s governor’s race. Democrat John Bel Edwards has a new TV ad that tells viewers Republican David Vitter only offers deception and hypocrisy. The Republican Governor’s Association released a spot that calls Edwards just another Obama liberal. UL Lafayette political science professor Pearson Cross says a negative tone has already been set in this race..:

He says Vitter will run an aggressive campaign against Edwards trying to do anything he can to damage his reputation.

We’re expected to get more information today from state officials about what they call a major strip club undercover bust on Bourbon Street. The Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control say the month long “Operation Trick or Treat” will reveal specific names and charges against numerous strip clubs, including drugs, prostitution and lewd and immoral acts.

In the November 21st runoff election, voters will decide who will become the next Lt. Governor between Democrat Kip Holden and Republican Billy Nungesser. Eric Gill reports..:

The Hammond Police Department says they’ve arrested a 14-year-old boy into the case of alleged threats made against area schools on social media last night. Authorities insinuate the action was likely a “prank.” The charge is terrorizing.
