The latest campaign finance numbers in the Louisiana’s governor’s race shows Republican David Vitter still has the most cash on hand with $4 million. Republican Jay Dardenne reports $1.6 million, Democrat John Bel Edwards has $1.4 million, and Republican Scott Angelle has about $1 million. LaPolitics-dot-com Publisher Jeremy Alford says, when you throw in cash from a pro-Vitter Super PAC, the senator has over $7 million available…:

Meanwhile Governor Bobby Jindal continues his presidential campaign efforts. Jindal will address a Value Voters Summit this afternoon in Washington D.C. before heading back to Iowa tonight.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s office says a 46-year-old woman from Cut Off is accused of stealing over $220,000 from her employer. Rhonda Anglin is charged with felony theft.

LSU is off to Syracuse today to take on the Orange tomorrow. Fans will be watching to see how many yards Leonard Fournette puts up after rushing for 387 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2 games. LSU’s only Heisman trophy winner Billy Cannon will be watching as he insists Fournette will be the next winner of college football’s most prestigious award…:

The so called “Super Blood Moon” will coincide with a lunar eclipse on Sunday night in a phenomenon that won’t happen again until the year 2033. L-S-U Professor of Astronomy Brad Schaefer says you can see the closest full moon pass through the Earth’s shadow. He says the event isn’t as unusual as it sounds but it’s still a rare and beautiful…:
