Saints Coach Sean Payton says if quarterback Drew Brees can’t throw a pass in practice this week, he won’t play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Brees has been limited in practice this week because of a bruised rotator cuff. Veteran backup Luke McCown will start if Brees can’t paly.

In the NFL last night…former LSU Tigers Odell Beckham Junior and Rueben Randle each had touchdown catches in the Giants 32-21 win over the Redskins.

Many fantasy football fans in Louisiana want to know why they can’t participate in cash games online. New Orleans gaming lawyer, Kelly Duncan, says state law prohibits these fantasy companies from letting people here play for money to win a cash prize, unlike other states where the companies are allowed to operate…

LSU will face Syracuse tomorrow in the first ever regular season meeting between the two teams. The Tigers have won 49 straight non-conference regular season games, while the Orange are 3-0 for the first time since 1991. Kick-off is at 11 AM.
