The first meeting of the task force to study the impact of illegal immigration on Louisiana taxpayers is underway. Denham Springs Representative Valarie Hodges says the purpose of the taskforce is to minimize the cost to Louisiana taxpayers for having illegal immigrates in our state. She says Louisiana receives more unaccompanied minors than Arizona and New Mexico combined.

If you’re not getting enough sleep and feel like you get sick all the time then according to a study out of UC-San Francisco the two are connected. The report shows less than six hours of sleep negativeley impacts your immune system. Professor of Family Medicine at LSU New Orleans Dr. Herbert Muncie says sleep is just as necessary to staying healthy as a good diet and exercising…:
