State Police say a woman in Amite died in a wrong way crash on I-55 in Tangipahoa Parish. They say 911 got a call Wednesday afternoon in reference to a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the interstate and minutes later were informed of a head on collision. The wrong-way vehicle driver, 22-year-old Summer Graves, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle had minor injuries. Troopers suspect Graves was impaired.

The Louisiana National Guard, which played a huge role during the Hurricane Katrina response, has dedicated an exhibit to the destructive storm at their Jackson Barracks museum in New Orleans. Museum Director Captain Heather Englehart says the exhibit features large photos and paintings of the destruction and flooding along with other discovered artifacts and relics of the response…:
