KLFY-TV in Lafayette is reporting the last Pearl Harbor survivor from Louisiana has passed away. Veteran Joe Richard died at his home in Sunset, two months after he turned 100 years old. Richard was 18-years-old when Japanese fighter planes dropped bombs on Pearl Harbor.

A week long early voting period for the October 14th primary begins tomorrow and it runs through next Saturday, except for Sunday. Secretary of State spokesperson John Tobler says early voting locations will be open from 8:30 AM to 6 PM….
