Governor John Bel Edwards leaves for London today in what his office is calling an economic development mission. The governor’s spokesperson Shauna Sanford says Edwards will meet with executives of major energy firms and tomorrow he’ll meet with the world’s leading insurance underwriter, Lloyd’s of London to discuss the state’s serious insurance issues…

Since LSU student Allie Rice was killed inside her car on September 16th, her aunt and godmother Susie Rice says family members have received an overwhelming amount of support. She says the support is both emotional and financial with donations for reward money and funeral expenses.

A red flag warning is out again for southeast Louisiana and today the warning extends up into the Delta parishes of northeast Louisiana. Officials are asking the public to refrain from outside burning, because of dry and breezy conditions.
