Governor Bobby Jindal has called a Unified Command Group meeting of emergency responders to prepare for flooding in Northwest Louisiana. Because of the increase rain amounts, meteorologists believe the Red River will create flooding following a crest in Shreveport June 6th, that will stretch downriver to Alexandria the following week. Experts say this will be a comparable flooding to that in 1990.

A man wielding an ax- who was spotted walking around looking for homes to burglarize- has been arresting following an attack on a Baton Rouge police officer. Spokesman Cpl. L’Jean (Gene) McKneely says when the officer stepped out of his car, 41 year-old Deandre Trahan made his move…
