Five parishes in northwest and north-central Louisiana are under a winter weather advisory tonight and into tomorrow and there’s the possibility of light snow and sleet.

A redistricting session is underway at the State Capitol and we are waiting to hear the debate over proposals to create a second majority-minority Congressional district. Baton Rouge Senator Cleo Fields has filed a bill to do just that based on Census data showing the state’s black population is 33-percent, which he says should result in another majority-minority district….

But Republican lawmakers are proposing a Congressional district map that’s similar to the one currently in place.

Louisiana will soon have the ability to allocate 600-million dollars in federal disaster aid to those homeowners impacted by Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020. So the Office of Community Development is asking for those impacted by those storms to fill out a survey at restore-dot-la-dot-gov…
