The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry says the state will lose jobs and energy prices will rise if the EPA’s proposed ozone standards are enacted. The report claims customers could see as much as a 32 percent increase in natural gas and a 15 percent rise in electricity prices. Governor Bobby Jindal is scheduled to be in Iowa today and tomorrow further fueling speculation of a presidential run in 2016. This is Jindal’s third trip to the Hawkeye State in recent months. Jindal says he will not make any decision on running for president until after the November elections.

The LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans has been awarded a $5.6 million grant from the National Cancer Institute to build a regional cancer clinical trials network. Director of the Cancer Center, Dr. Augusto Ochoa, says this funding will provide the infrastructure for the network…
