Temperatures are expected to dip into the teens in north Louisiana and 20s in south Louisiana tomorrow morning and the National Weather Service has issued a hard freeze warning for most of the state this evening through mid-morning Thursday. State officials are urging residents to take proper precautions and be sure you’re heating your home in a safe manner.

Another Louisiana teacher is in trouble over allegations he had sex with one of his female juvenile students. Cops say 36-year-old Nicholas Willis is the accused and Kaplan Police Chief Boyd Adams says they learned from Abbeville Police the alleged incident occurred in their jurisdiction where the suspect lived…:

Felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile is the charge and Willis is still in jail pending $200,000 bond.

Police in Baton Rouge say a 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after a car served off the road and hit him while he was walking to school this morning. They believe it was a mechanical program with the vehicle which caused the driver to lose control and hit the boy walking along a nearby sidewalk. Cops say the driver isn’t cited and the crash is under investigation.

The Kaplan Police Department says an Abbeville High School teacher is in jail accused of having sex with one of his female juvenile students. Chief Boyd Adams says they originally received the complaint about 36-year-old Nicholas Willis from Abbeville Police…:

According to the Vermilion Parish School System website, Willis taught physical science and chemistry. He is charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and is being held on a $200,000 bond.

The State Department of Transportation announces a plan to widen a portion of I-10 between Lafayette and St. Martin Parishes. DOTD spokesperson Diedra Druilhet says construction will take place where I-10 meets I-49 all the way to Breaux Bridge. She says the estimated cost of this project will be in the neighborhood of $125 million…:

Season 7 of Duck Dynasty begins tonight and some are saying nobody cares anymore. A federal judge has sentenced a Many man to more than 14 years in prison for selling methamphetamine. 28-year-old Jamal Holland pleaded guilty to selling 39 grams of meth to undercover agents in 2013. Holland was sentenced to 173 months in prison and three years of supervised release.
