LSU and Baton Rouge police say they are investigating claims made by freshman LSU wide receiver Koy Moore, who says he was violated numerous times by police officers on Saturday night. Moore, who is black, says cops pulled guns on him claiming he had guns and drugs in his possession and unzipped his pants. Mayor Broome issued a statement this morning that the allegations are being taken seriously and the incident is under investigation.

The Shell Convent refinery is set to cease operation at the end of the month and 700 jobs and 24 million dollars of tax revenue is on the line if a new buyer can’t be found.
