Four Louisiana National Guard soldiers based out of Hammond were on the chopper and officials say two victims have been recovered. The remaining soldiers are believed to be located in the wreckage.

There’s been a buzz today surrounding Lt. Governor candidate and Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden as sexual harassment allegations surfaced from a five year old settled lawsuit out of Kansas City. With financial help from the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, State Police has deployed additional troopers to help out with the crime problem in The Big Easy.
