The investigation continues today in the Army helicopter crash that killed all 11 servicemen on board during a training mission Tuesday night in the Florida Panhandle. The four National Guardsmen were part of the 1st of the 244th Assault Helicopter Battalion, a unit was deployed to Iraq twice and responded to numerous disasters in the state.

State Police announce that during a crackdown of insurance fraud throughout the state, several arrests have been made of people who have tried to abuse the system various ways. LSP Spokesman Dustin Dwight says insurance fraud is a problem that affects all citizens here who pay some of the highest premiums in the country…

Dwight says insurance fraud happens so often that there are several active investigations.

Tom Benson files a lawsuit that attempts to secure the ownership shares of the Saints and Pelicans from a trust fund that his relatives currently have control over. The federal suit is aimed at Robert Rosenthal who has blocked a previous effort by Benson to remove the teams from the trust. Legal analyst Tim Meche says this is a desperation move on Benson’s part…
