Monroe is an election battleground today as both sides of the Governor’s race are making appearances in the area. President Trump will be rallying GOP voters to head to the polls to in support of Eddie Rispone. Trump becomes the first sitting President to visit Monroe since 1983. Governor Edwards is also in Monroe today, gathering campaign volunteers at Charles Johnson Children’s Park. Tonight’s Trump event is at the Monroe Civic Center.
