State Police says one of its troopers was injured last night when a suspected drunk driver hit the officer’s fully-marked L-S-P Tahoe with emergency lights activated. The wreck occurred on I-10 in Baton Rouge near Siegan Lane. 31-year-old Volha Tryshyna of Baton Rouge has been charged with a D-W-I, careless operation and vehicular negligent injuring.

The House votes to roll back the state sales tax from 4.45 to four-percent, despite opposition from Democrats who claim it will bring Louisiana back to budget deficits.
