Governor Edwards has declared a state of emergency as the cleanup will continue today from Thursday’s morning deadly twister that killed two people in Lincoln Parish. Edwards has viewed the damage in Ruston and was amazed by the precise path of destruction….

The National Weather Service says it was at least an EF 3 tornado with winds of 135 to 165 miles per hour.

The LSU Board of Supervisors will vote today on new athletics director Scott Woodward’s eight-million dollar contract and an amended deal for previously suspended basketball coach Will Wade.
