Former Louisiana congressman John Fleming of Minden is reportedly considering a run for governor. Fleming represented Louisiana’s 4th District for eight years and left the House in 2017. LSU Shreveport Political Science Professor Jeffrey Sadow says it might be too late for Fleming to join the race…

A state appeals course is considering an interesting case out of the town of Ball in Rapides Parish. Roy Hebron was elected the mayor for the town of Ball, but he’s a convicted felon and on the same ballot, voters approved a new constitutional amendment that prohibits convicted felons like Hebron from holding elected office. Hebron argues he should remain in office, because he was elected when the law wasn’t in effect. Loyola University Law Professor Dane Ciolino…
