The U-S Senate Judiciary committee will hear from Christine Blasey Ford on Thursday. Doctor Ford accuses Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her during a high school pool party in the 1980s. Kennedy is glad Ford has chosen to tell her story to the committee…

There’s now a second sexual misconduct claim against Kavanaugh. A woman told the New Yorker that Kavanaugh exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party at Yale. Kavanaugh denies both allegations.

The US House and Senate are set to vote this week on legislation that would fix the duplication of benefits issue impacting many 2016 flood victims. Individuals who suffered flood damage that year are ineligible for federal grant money, because they received an SBA loan. State officials say the problem has left flood victims thousands of dollars in debt.

If you are not registered to vote for the November mid-terms, then this week is a great opportunity to do so as its voter registration week. Matt Doyle has more.

A 28-year-old Bayou Blue woman faces a second-degree murder charge after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the chest. 28-year-old Justin Nixon of St. Francisville died at a New Orleans hospital. LaFourche Parish Sheriff Deputies say a verbal altercation between 28-year-old Shanell Thompson turned physical and Thompson used a knife to stab the victim in the chest.
