Speaking of debates, should be another interesting one tonight as Former Governor Edwin Edwards and political newcomer Garret Graves face off in Denham Springs in their runoff bid for the 6th Congressinonal District Seat. The two are set to square off at 6pm. The debate is hosted by the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce.

Sad story out of Grant Parish as the 85-year-old Pollock woman who was mauled by dogs last week died last night. Sheriff Steve Martin says they got the call Wednesday evening from a neighbor who said he heard screaming then found Bobbie Cheveallier(shuh-VAHL-yay) on the ground with two “wolf-type” dogs near her…:

Cheveallier hung on until last night. Martin says they are still looking for the dogs responsible with DNA evidence.

A state audit of Grambling State University revealed equipment thefts totaling more than $130,000. Legislative Auditor Bradley Cryer says, in this case, it was the university that actually found that items had been taken from some of its buildings…:

He says one person has been arrested in connection with the thefts and they are working on new procedures to limit the key access to facilities that are vacant moving forward.
