The Baton Rouge Police Department has made two arrests in connection with the death of a West St. John High School Football Coach. They say 25-year-old Lentrell Cloud is charged with second degree murder for allegeldy shooting 27-year-old Juan Joseph outside of a nightclub in Baton Rouge over the weekend. The other man arrested was 25-year-old Lemark Cloud who is accused of being the getaway driver. The two suspects are cousins.

The US Small Business Administration has approved Governor Bobby Jindal’s request for federal disaster assistance in Ouachita Parish following the tornadoes last month. This means low interest disaster loans are available to homeowners and businesses whose property was damaged as a result of the storms. You can apply online at disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.

Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu was not successful in pushing a US Senate bill that would green-light the Keystone Oil Pipeline. The measure needed 60 votes to pass but it only got 59. Landrieu has been pushing to get the measure passed to illustrate her clout to voters in the US-Senate runoff against Congressman Bill Cassidy. Political analyst Bernie Pinsonat…:
