Authorities believe they found a mother her two children inside the burnt out home. Foul play is not suspected. Both the state fire marshal and local authorities are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the fire.

One of the top defensive coordinators in the country is staying in Baton Rouge. LSU and Dave Aranda have reportedly agreed to a four-year contract that will pay him on average 2.5 million dollars a year. An early flu season continues to be a big problem in Louisiana. Doctor Frank Welch with the state health department says one out of every ten doctor visits result in a flu diagnosis. Welch says avoid close contact with people who are sick and it’s easy to know when a flu victim is no longer a threat to pass it to someone else….

The statewide average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $2.27 that’s up nearly a nickel from a week ago and it’s the highest new year gas prices since 2014. But AAA fuel analyst Don Redman believes the price at the pump will drop at least 10-cents soon. He says demand is on the decline, because of the cold and snowy conditions across the country….
