Will holiday company parties be a bit more laid back this year, because of the heightened awareness of sexual harassment? A national conversation is underway about office misconduct in the wake of allegations against many high profile celebrities. UNO Business Professor Dr. Mark Rosa says it’s a hypersensitive issue…:

Rosa says HR departments are likely re-evaluating their sexual harassment policies as accusations are leading to the firing of well-known individuals.

The National Flood Insurance Program expires in one week. U.S. Senator John Kennedy is hopeful Congress can renew the N-F-I-P without raising premiums, so flood insurance becomes unaffordable…:

Congress must either vote to extend the N-F-I-P before December 8th, or it will shut down.

Former U-S Representative William Jefferson was recently released from prison and is expected to remain free. Jeff Palermo reports the convicted Congressman has a new sentencing hearing today…:

An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury has indicted Kenneth Gleason, a white man accused of murdering two black men and shooting into the home of a black family in September. The 23-year-old is charged with one count each of second and first-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder in the incidents police have described as possibly racially motivated.
