Forecasters says there’s a significant chance the remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey will reform in the Gulf of Mexico and head towards the Texas coast this week. State Climatologist Barry Keim says the disturbance fizzled out last week in the Caribbean, but should re-generate in the western part of the Gulf.

He says the models have the area of low pressure developing into a tropical storm.

Last night, President Donald Trump annouced we must fight to win the war in Afghanistan, where U.S. troops have been for 16 years. Louisiana GOP Chairman Roger Villere says agrees with the president and says it’s time to fix this mess.

A 38-year-old Ruston man has been arrested for allegedly fatally shooting the mother of his children and injuring another woman and a one-year-old. Authorities say Frank Stringfellow is charged with one count of first degree murder. The 54-year-old injured woman and the baby are expected to survive.
