The Associated Press reports U.S District Judge Patricia Minaldi of Lake Charles is retiring. This news comes after she took a medical leave for alcoholism treatment in December. Judge Minaldi said in an interview in April that her battle with alcoholism didn’t impact the outcome of her cases.
