LSU Health New Orleans has made a plan to reduce cancer deaths in Louisiana over the next five years. Director of the Louisiana Cancer Prevention and Control Program, Donna Williams, says the Louisiana Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan will help ensure people have access to the health services they need…:

Williams says Louisiana is currently ranked fourth in the nation for deaths from cancer.

A day after Baton Rouge Police announced nearly 40 arrests on charges ranging from underage drinking to fighting, a popular Baton Rouge bar near LSU has had its liquor license suspended. It says Reggie’s may still be open, but they won’t be allowed to serve any alcohol. The Tigerland establishment was where cops conducting a sting which resulted in the arrests.

Saints Quarterback Drew Brees says he’s starting a coed, youth flag football league called Football ‘N” America he says will save the sport and make it safer for kids to play and learn. He says he didn’t put pads on until his freshman year in high school, and flag football not only taught him great fundamentals about the sport…:
