A Senate Judiciary Committee rejects a proposal to end sanctuary policies in Louisiana. The measure would end practices that discourage cops from contacting immigration authorities if they encounter an illegal immigrant. The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office says one of their deputies has been fired after being charged with felony third degree rape. The suspect is identified as former Deputy old Bradley Smith of Calhoun.
