President-elect Donald Trump spoke in front of thousands of people in Baton Rouge this afternoon, encouraging them to vote for Republican John Kennedy in tomorrow’s US Senate election. Before Mr. Trump’s speech, Governor John Bel Edwards met with the next president of the United States. Edwards says he gave Mr. Trump updated on flood recovery efforts and the need for additional assistance.

The election cycle finally ends tomorrow in Louisiana, and voter turnout is expected to be substantially lower than in November. Secretary of State Tom Schedler says early voter turnout was much lower for the runoff than it was in the general election.

It’s getting ugly in the third congressional district race, a recorded conversation between Captian Clay Higgins and his ex-wife talking about child support has been made public.
