Walgreens Pharmacies have made available Naloxone, an opiod antidote over the counter. LSU Psychiatry professor James Becnel says there is an opiod overdose every 18 hours in Louisiana, so having naloxone on hand could prevent an overdose death…

Becnel recommends anyone with an opioid prescrpition for over two weeks to have naloxone on hand.
