It’s been a difficult year for those who experienced flood damage. Louisiana had two historic flooding events, one in north Louisiana in March and the other in south Louisiana in August. Denham Springs Mayor Gerard Landry says many people are thankful in his community, despite a trying time, and he urges people to reach out to those who are less fortunate….

Governor John Bel Edwards gets to celebrate Thanksgiving in the Governor’s mansion after spending three months displaced, because of flood damage to the historic structure. Edwards encourages everyone to give thanks this holiday season, because we live in the greatest state of the greatest country on earth….

Tonight is LSU’s final regular season game and once it is completed, the Tigers are expected to make a strong push to hire Florida State Head Coach Jimbo Fisher. But will Fisher come to LSU, football analyst Mike Detillier says LSU has better facilities, they pay their assistant coaches more and it’s easier to recruit players to Tiger Town…

Kick-off for tonight’s game against Texas A&M is at 6:30. Kendell Beckwith and Leonard Fournette are not expected to play for the Tigers, while Aggies quarterback Trevor Knight is expected to start.

The USDA is recommending not to wash your raw turkey. Washing raw meat can spread bacteria three feet away. Louisiana Ag Commissioner Mike Strain says it’s also a good idea to cut the turkey off the bone and refrigerate within two hours of cooking.
