Governor John Bel Edwards has a 60-percent approval rating, according to a new survey. Pollster Bernie Pinsonat with Southern Media and Opinion Research says only one person beat out Edwards as the most popular Louisiana leader…:

The same poll showed Kenndy leading the field in the US Senate race, followed by Democratic opponent Foster Campbell.

People nationwide have been loading up on seafood, as new stats from NOAA show the average American ate nearly a pound more in 2015 than the prior year. Executive Director of the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, Karen Profita, says Bayou State seafood is in high demand around the country, and people don’t mind paying more for it…:

NOAA says this is in line with how much fisherman brought in last year — 9.7 billions pounds of fish and shellfish, an increase of 2% from 2014.

The Attorney General’s Office announces the arrest of three Louisiana men on over 550 counts of child pornography. The AG’s Cyber Crime Unit says thousands of computer crimes that victimize children have been investigated but multiple agencies throughout the state.
