A statement released by Jefferson Parish President Mike Yenni says he won’t be resigning after allegations surfaced he sent sexually explicit messages to a 17-year-old boy. Yenni says he has taken responsibility for his poor judgement but this is a personal matter and does not affect is ability to govern his parish. He adds he has not broken any laws and has not been contacted by any agency conducting an investigation.

LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva gave a scheduling update on the “post-poned” Florida away game, and it doesn’t look promising. Michelle Southern reports…:

It looks like Mike VI could be in his last says as the live mascot has been transitioned into hospice care, according to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Mike’s Vet, Dr. David Baker, said last week at a press conference that they knew this was coming and plan to care for the tiger for as long as his health allows.
