Three campuses within the Louisiana Community and Technical College System will be getting expansions. Governor John Bel Edwards announced the new developments at the Baton Rouge Community College, Central Louisiana Technical Community College in Alexandria and Delgado in New Orleans. He says these new facilities will provide training in various areas like welding, automotive technology, construction, manufacturing, and information technology. Today Edwards will visit BRCC to highlight the state-of-the-art collision repair training and technology center.

The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine says they are not going to try to put Mike the Tiger in his trailer for home games in the upcoming season. They say they have never forced Mike VI to go to Tiger Stadium, and due to his recent cancer diagnosis they are just going to keep him in his habitat for fans to enjoy on game day.

Saints Punter Thomas Morstead delivered backpacks filled with school supplies to students throughout East Baton Rouge Parish to help those affected by the floods. He says he hopes it motivates the students…:

We may not see the presidential candidates much in the Bayou State before Election Day, according to UL-Lafayette political science professor Pearson Cross. He says if Donald Trump starts to slip in the polls here, then that could be cause for alarm. But he says that doesn’t seem like much of a possibility at this point…:
