The final gift before he died. The wife of one of the police officers who was killed in the ambush on Baton Rouge cops on July 17th is pregnant. Dechia Gerald believes she and her late husband, Officer Matthew Gerald, conceived the child a few days before the attack.

Louisiana Economic Development is offering a contractor accreditation scholarship to small businesses with the state’s technical schools and community colleges. LED Secretary Don Pierson says the course will help new companies become licensed contractors in Louisiana, especially with the rising need after the historic flooding….:
