Governor Bobby Jindal and Governor-elect John Bel Edwards met in Baton Rouge Tuesday to discuss the plans to transition from one administration to another. At the Governor’s Mansion, Jindal said the two met for about an hour..:

Despite a dip in ratings, A&E announces that Duck Dynasty and the West Monroe Robertsons will be back for another season beginning in January. The website doesn’t give an exact date for the season 9 premiere.

Today begins the three day qualifying period for candidates to sign up and get on the ballot for Louisiana’s March 5th Presidential Primary Election. Political Analyst Clancy Dubois says since Louisiana’s presidential primary falls a few days after “Super Tuesday,” Louisiana will not have a strong say on who the parties will nominate.

Secretary of State Tom Schedler expects most of the candidates to qualify by mail or sending a representative to his office to qualify. Republican Presidential candidate Marco Rubio is bringing his campaign to New Orleans today.
