A new poll on Louisiana’s governor’s race shows Democrat John Bel Edwards leading Republican David Vitter by a 52 to 40-percent margin. The survey, conducted on behalf of anti-Vitter Gumbo PAC, also says the US Senator’s unfavorability rating has climbed to 52-percent. With the election a little more than three weeks away, Dubos feels there is little time for Vitter to turn things around.

The New Orleans branch of the NAACP is calling on Vitter to remove the words “dangerous thugs” from one of his campaign commercials to describe people who get out of prison. The ad compares Edwards to President Obaama saying they have plans to release 5,500 inmates. Vitter’s spokesman Luke Bolar says they’re not about to take the ad down.

Festival Productions announced today that next year’s Bayou Country Superfest will be expanded to three days and promises to include an explosive line up. BCS in Tiger Stadium will take place Memorial Day weekend 2016 from Friday through Sunday, May 27th-29th. Organizers say they will announce the performers on November 10th.
