The Louisiana law that requires doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals, has its first lawsuit filed against it. The Center for Reproductive Rights filed the lawsuit today in US District Court in Baton Rouge for two doctors, and clinics in Metairie and the Shreveport area. The group wants an immediate injunction against the law which is supposed to begin on September 1st.

Vezinot says authorites also arrested another in Lafayette and one more in Bossier City connected to Asian Massage Parlors, which operates in all three cities.
