Planned Parenthood has filed a federal lawsuit to prevent Governor Bobby Jindal from halting Medicaid payments to the organization’s facilities in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Jindal announced plans to defund Planned Parenthood after secretly taped vidoes accuse the organiziation of selling fetal body parts. The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services warned Jindal that such an action violated federal law.
