The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested two women accused of stealing a total of $400,000 from the bank account of a 96-year-old woman. They say the victim’s granddaughter, 39-year-old Jennifer Smith of Shreveport, and a personal sitter for the woman, 39-year-old Alice Haralson of Stonewall, each had power of attorney for the woman’s estate at separate times. Each allegedly took $200,000 from the victim. Smith and Haralson are each charged with exploitation of the infirmed.
