Alford says former and current legislators are in interested in becoming the next state Transportation Secretary, but he says Landry could also pick a former Trump administration official.

There are 22 states that will increase the minimum wage on January 1st. In Louisiana, the minimum wage will remain $7.25 an hour, it’s been that way since 2009. Louisiana Budget Project Executive Director Jan Moeller says Louisiana continues to lose population as many search for higher wages.
