This afternoon the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs will host a wreath-laying ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park, adjacent to the State Capitol. LDVA spokesperson Brandee Patrick says Secretary Col Joey Strickland has been working with the governor to revitalize the park.

The Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control is planning to publish a list on Friday of vape products that retailers can sell from here on out. A new state law requires vape products to be registered with A-T-C and be approved by the FDA to be legally sold. Agency Commissioner Ernest Legier says the law is an attempt to look out for the well-being of its citizens, especially younger people…

Louisiana’s own Lainey Wilson wasthe standout winner at the 2023 CMA Awards last night in Nashville. Wilson won in five categories, which ties the one-year record, first set by Johnny Cash in 1969. Wilson’s wins also set a one-year record for a female artist….and set the stage for multiple Grammy nominations, which are set to be announced tomorrow.
