The Lafayette theater shooting is sparking arguments over gun control once again and whether more laws are needed to prevent such tragedies…

Funeral services of the two victims of the Lafayette movie theater shooting will be held today. Services for 21-year-old Mayci Breaux of Franklin are scheduled for 11AM at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin. Services for 33-year-old Jillian Johnson of Lafayette will get underway at 12:30PM in Lafayette at the Delhomme Chapel of Flowers.

Louisiana Attorney General Bubby Caldwell wants to assemble a team of health professionals to help identify unstable and violent persons and share that information with law enforcement. Caldwell says he is going to take action and doesn’t understand why it’s taken so long to confront these problems.
