One of the state’s largest hospitals is being honored by the American Nurses Credentialing Center with the designation of magnet hospital. Our Lady of The Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge is now in the top 5% hospitals achieving such high marks.

Houma Police Department say a 71-year-old woman is in the hospital after being brutally attacked by her son’s pit-bull mix last night.
