St. Tammany Parish authorities have identified the second victim in their double homicide investigation where the bodies were found in Covington burned beyond recognition. The St. Tammany coroner identified the female victim as 73-year-old Ruth Prats. Officials previously identified the other victim as retired priest Otis Young. A man has been charged with their murders, but a motive has not been established and the suspect had no prior connection to the victims.

The U-S Attorney’s Office is looking for juvenile victims who may have connected with a man by the name of Gary London Harper, who has been indicted on child pornography charges. U-S Attorney Brandon Brown says Harper used user names like lilharp, ole harp, millwright2011 and olecountry1234 on snapchat and the cash app to obtain child pornography…

The National Weather Service has determined a tornado that reached E-F 3 strength did damage to rural parts of Caldwell Parish on Tuesday. Just one minor injury reported and for that Caldwell Parish Sheriff Chief Deputy Jack McKeithen is thankful.
