Louisianans vote on a U.S. Senate choice this November; re-elect John Kennedy for another 6 years, or choose someone new. Baton Rouge activist and Democrat candidate Gary Chambers says it should be him, despite most state Democrat leaders – including Governor Edwards getting behind Luke Mixon in that race. On Jim Engster’s “Talk Louisiana” program today, Chambers said, if he can get into a December runoff, he can beat Kennedy…:

Police in Eunice arrest a man for shooting at the Mamou Police Chief back in April. The Chief was responding to a “shots fired” call, when he found himself being fired upon. The suspect fled the scene. The investigation eventually led to 18-year-old Louis Jones, of Eunice, being apprehended and placed behind bars.
