Attorney Ben Crump is calling on state lawmakers to convene a special session so they could revise the state’s abortion ban, making the medical exceptions more clear. Crump is representing Nancy Davis, who was denied an abortion at a Baton Rouge hospital, even though her fetus has no skull and would die shortly after birth. Crump says the medical exceptions part of the law should be more clear….

Doctors did not want to perform the abortion over concerns they could be charged criminally. Davis will terminate the pregancy in another state.

Just some scattered showers today. That’s good news for northeast Louisiana, which could use a few dry days after seeing a foot of rain fall in some areas this week. LSU soybean specialist Doctor David Moseley says the soybean crop is suffering from all of this rain…

LSU Police is investigating another attempting kidnapping case. It’s the second time such a crime has been reported during the first week of class. The victim told investigators the attack occurred outside Acadiana Hall and the attacker was a food delivery driver. Campus police say a student was also kidnapped Tuesday night near Cypress Hall and the victim was reported safe.
