St. Tammany Parish Sheriff deputy Kenneth Doby is hospitalized after he was shot overnight while patrolling in the area of Highway 21 and Highway 1083 in Waldheim. Sheriff Randy Smith says a 13-year-old male suspect is in custody. Deputy Kenneth Doby was in the area after a call came in for a suspected burglary at a business.
