At the State Capitol redistricting session, A House committee advances a state House district map that keeps the number of majority black districts At its current number; 29. The man accused of killing a Slidell mom and stuffing her dismembered body in a cooler will remain in jail until his trial. An Orleans Parish magistrate ruled this morning there was probable cause the Benjamin Beale might be a flight risk, if let out on bond. He’s accused of murdering 36-year-old Julia Dardar AND with running a meth lab.
